We need to be more effective when budgeting for behavior support in the classroom. My plan is to work with the board to create new policies and funding for behavior management, and to increase teacher pay at a faster and more respectable rate than 1.3%.

Students with extreme behaviors are not being held accountable or given an appropriate learning environment. They are simply passed around from one teacher to another. I will work with the board to reallocate funds for more behavioral team support. All of our children will learn more with less disruptions in the classroom.

I will work with the board to create legal and effective performance policies that make sense for all teachers and administrators.

Our leaders are failing us. Students with uncontrollable behaviors are regularly permitted to stay in classrooms and deprive others of a safe and appropriate learning environment. Other counties are suing the State over this. What are we doing about it? This is not a data problem. This is a leadership problem.
